FAQ: How come you guys sound better live than most bands I have heard? - March 15, 2009
The answer is simple.
It's easy for a musician to get tunnel vision and just focus on their own amp or instrument.
A long time ago we realized that from the audience's perspective, the total sound of the band depends on the amplification and mix of the voices and individual instruments.
We try to keep from playing too loud and one way to do that is to have accurate stage monitoring for the musicians.
This winter we have made a sizable investment in a Yamaha professional Sound Reinforcement system with 1000 watts of stereo amplification, 2 separate sophisticated effects engines, 15" 2-way Club V speakers, self powered Electro Voice stage monitors, and a variety of specialized microphones designed to accurately capture our instrumental and vocal sounds.
This system didn't come cheap, and it's way beyond the commitment of your average "week-end warrior" bar band.
We appreciate the loyalty of our fans. If you make the effort to come to one of our gigs, it's the least we can do to give you the best entertainment experience possible.
